I am about to pickup my PP sometIme this summer. My 3rd Prius. 1st PHEV! I am excited. As experienced owners, what should I know before I take ownership/do once I take possession.

    Thanks in advance.

Tell the dealer you want them to have the traction battery charged before delivery so you can experience EV mode on the way home.
The probably still won’t so study up on “Charge Mode” so you can charge the battery using the PP’s internal combustion engine for a while then switch to EV mode. Hint press and hold the HV/EV button to turn on charge mode. Enjoy. J

Search for all local/state/utility rebates/incentives that may be applicable to a PHEV.

Is the $750 Uber driver incentive still offered by Toyota? (I think it is)
Worth becoming a "driver" (you don't have to give a single ride) to get an easy $750 off. Its a Toyota incentive, so the dealer gets reimbursed - don't let them say they don't participate or something.

learn about using the charging scheduler so you treat your battery right (end charge right before you leave, store 1/2 depleted if you have to leave it parked for many days) Change oil at 1500 miles to flush out any metal from the build, then every 5k - change the battery filters on the back seat sides (inside the cabin) once a year - otherwise drive and enjoy - seeing you are coming from a regular 2010 prius you will be amazed at ride quality and peppyness in pure electric - enjoy and great choice of color
