NHTSA oversight hearing 03/11/2010

    C-SPAN recorded the NHTSA oversight hearing:

    Towards the end, Rep. Stearns of Florida pitched his "Quiet Cars" bill and bragged about having 215 co-sponsors. He went on to say 'how while he was on his Blackberry a hybrid car almost hit him.'

    Anyone notice the the problem?

    There were other exchanges about data recording and standards. It looks like Congress is interested in doubling the NHTSA budget.
