No AC, help / suggestions??

    2004 Prius Basic 205k miles.
    No AC except when defrost is on. AC will not blow in automatic or manual control. But when switch on front defrost it blows cold air and I can hear the compressor turn on, cold air blows from the defrost vents. Can see bubbles in sight glass and have not observed either one of the fans in front of the radiator turn on. Has anyone else had this happen? Have an appointment Monday with the dealership hoping it's just needing a recharge. Hoping someone on here might know what is going on.

    welcome! sounds like an electrical problem, but what do i know?
