non 2010 model -Buy now or wait ?

Hi Guys,

New to the forum but have decided on purchasing a prius. I went and looked into purchasing a 2010 model but they want about 23k for a base model.
They seem to be selling the pre 2010's for around 22+ which I don't quite understand but anyway. I wanted to see if waiting until the new model is out will reduce the price of the older ones. I don't mind buying a used one with 25k+ miles if I can make sense of the purchase price.
