    Hi. New to forums.
We have 2 Prius speed check won’t type Pr I I
My red Prius has SKS bought used only one key fob. It will unlock and lock doors and start the car with FOB in my pocket. However it will NOT start the car when inserted into the dash. Is this normal?
I bought a new Toyota Fob with Silver emblem from Amazon and tried to program it. It will start the car when inserted into the dash but will not lock and unlock the doors and the SKS programming hasn’t worked. Is this because the original fob won’t work when inserted into the dash? Doesn’t the main fob need to work for everything to be able to program?

Has no one a reply? If you have SKS in your Prius does your FOB start the car when inserted into the dash?

Thank you. At least I know that it is not correct. The transponder is a chip I assume within the dash to link to the FOB. It appears my FOB is not linked. I was able to link the replacement FOB I bought. I will try the same programming but use my new fOB as a master to try and program the transponder for the old one. Thank you for the reply.
