I have a question about the key. I have a smart key system, but would like a non-smart key to leave with my kids or use as a spare. The dealer who did the oil change today said they thought I could only get a smart key, but I remember hearing otherwise. Can't I get a non-smart key for my 06?

    thanks,

Unfortunately you can only program smart keys into the system, ordinary keys won't work.

You could take the battery out. Then they'd have to use the metal key to lock or unlock the doors, and they'd have to insert the fob into the slot to start the car.

But why would you want them to have a non-SKS key?
