50 miles each way. Some stop-n-go certainly. Any benefit having a PIP over the regular Prius ?

if you can get the green carpool sticker that would be the best benefit of a PIP. You can go in the carpool lane with just 1 person. If you have a charging station at work and you can charge at home, you could probably save 30 miles in EV mode, but 70 would be hybrid mode.

However as far as the green stickers go, they seemed to be running out as i read somewhere on this forum that 40,000 of them have been issued, but the state may be making more if AB2013 passes? Who knows.

Even if there were no green decals left, it's better to get the PiP.
    1. Because it costs the same as a Prius 3 after rebates +/- a few hundred $'s. You'll certainly get it back at resale.
    2. PiP gets EPA 1 mpg more than the regular Prius even if you never plug it in.

The only reason not to get the PiP that I can think of is if you can't get the federal rebates due to your tax situation or if you want to get a Prius 2 which costs >$1000 less.

    iPhone ?
