OEM paint protection film removal on rear doors + lower moldings installation

    Hi folks,

    I am about to install the lower side body moldings and in order to do so, I'd like to remove the OEM little pieces of paint protection that come on the rear doors. If they didn't show signs of age/wear I would leave them in place and install the moldings over them, however, removing them will yield a cleaner look.

    Do these come off easily? I'm thinking about slowly pulling them off, then using Goo Gone to remove any adhesive left behind.

    That’s how I removed mine. Helps to loosen the glue bond up a little with a heat gun or hair dryer first. Make sure you keep it moving and don’t melt the plastic. Start pulling it off when it’s still very warm to the touch.
