Oh my gosh! I finally am a Prius owner!!!

    This is really an amazing feeling!
    I just signed for my new 2008 Spectra Blue Prius, package #6 (with wheel locks and all weather floor mats)!!!
    I got it home and have been showing it off to friends and family. It is a beautiful color! I've never had a new car before, and I don't think it has hit me that this is my car yet.
    I know I am not alone in this perma-smile with owning a... PRIUS!!:p:D
    This post is rather self-indulgent, but I know that some others must agree with the feelings I am having!?

    I just took delivery of my new Prius this Saturday after a long wait to get the option and color of my choice.

    This is an amazing vehicle! With only 150 miles on the odometer, I am aready getting almost 46 mpg combined city/hwy driving.

    I am feeling so giddy :D

    Awesome! I am glad to hear that I am not alone in this.
    I just got back from about a 80 mile round trip drive... every time I would look at the average fuel economy, it just keeps going up!
    I know that this could soon end, but its doubtful that this smile will soon disappear..... :D!!!!
    And the perma-grin continues...

    Rather than start a new thread, I'll just post a quick "me too" here. I don't actually have mine yet, but I'm told it should be ready to pick up on Thursday. I'm also especially excited as this is my first new car, as well. I simply woke up on Saturday and decided I wanted a new car. I had been considering a Prius for a long time, and was actually considering waiting for the 2009s to come out. But on Saturday, I something made me realize the time had come. I'm so excited for Thursday I'm hardly getting any sleep!

    Congrats on the new Prius. I just joined the ranks on Saturday, so I can totally relate. I actually catch myself staring out the window at it before going to bed... Okay, maybe not to that extreme, but close enough.

    Enjoy it, and if you have a chance, put up a photo. I love the Spectra Blue Mica or whatever it's called.

    Thank you all for welcoming me with open arms!
    I have yet to learn how to downsize a picture on a pc. I was formerly a mac-girl-- and still am at heart.
    Anyway, I've already put on 100 miles! woo woo! The milage kept climbing... until my boyfriend took it for a drive. haha!

    Is it true that you are supposed to drive "easy" on a new engine?
    If that is true, how so? And how long?
