not a big deal. the sooner the better of course. do you check the oil level at all? that is even more important than changing it exactly every 10k.

The difference is whether you are ruining your motor quickly (low oil) vs. slowly (not changed). Mileage adds up quickly so don't ignore it.

I'd have it changed ASAP so it is both fresh and full; your motor will thank you! :)

I owned 5 different Prii since 2005 and always used synthetic oil with an averaged age of 10k miles in between oil changes.
Never had a problem on those total 267.00 driving miles

Among other variables, that depends on what you mean by "due." How far has it been since the last oil change? The intervals recommended by Toyota vary by country---even though the engines don't vary that much. If your conditions are not "severe," and if your oil meets US API SN and ILSAC specifications or better, it's probably safe to go at least as far as the USA interval of 10,000 miles (16,093 km).

yes, you can keep driving, but don't ignore or forget about it. there is no exact 'number of miles' any conditions vary for every car. i would get her done in the next couple of weeks, assuming you only drive the typical 2-300 miles a week.

The engine really doesn't know how many miles you've driven, it's a mental note for yourself. One could idle for years and not get many miles logged

sure, enjoy it while it lasts. i think warranty will go away first before the engine actually gives out.
