I had to add a quart of oil to my 2010 and want to be sure that the lower dimple is the low oil indicator point. I cant seem to locate my manual and the stealership is not open.

I would post a picture but apparently I am not allowed.

The oil level looks to be ok to me but that is after adding oil a few days ago. Could have been low when the dealership changed the oil last. I am not sure but I plan to closely monitor it to be sure.

Yes, you want the oil level between the two dimples. Over filling is not good either.

Thanks. I thought that was the case but wanted to be sure. When it was low I was rather freaked out about it. I will be watching it closely.

On the Gen 2, the lower dimple indicates the oil level is 1.5 qts away from full. I don't know what it is for the Gen 3.

How many odometer miles is on your 2010? If it's over 100K miles, your car might be consuming oil. If so, you will need to monitor the oil level frequently (every 500 miles or so).

Have you checked for oil leaks? Drain plug, and oil filter housing? Hopefully, there's no leak anywhere else...
