I have tried looking at the older posts and still cannot find what I am looking for?

I noticed some different names of colors for the people that have the older model Prius, but I have no idea what these colors look like or if they are just named another color now in the 2008 models?

For instance what is the "Tideland Pearl" color??, Is this another color now in the 2008 model and just called something else..

How many colors actually are the same from the first Prius model to now, and how many of the colors are no longer in Production?

Does anyone have pics of their Prius that are no longer being produced in this color?

Can I see a pic of the Tideland Pearl color?? I saw a reference to it being a Charcoal Green??, I would like to see what that color looks like.

Is there a website to look at all the colors and when they were available??

Someone's post on here from 2004 or 2006 that had all the pics is no longer available..

I saw an older Prii that was forest green! I saw another that was a very pretty shade of maroon! The green one was a Gen I

My wife had an 05 Salsa red up until last month when we traded hers for a 09 Camry Hybrid. Personally I think it was a much nicer red than the current Barcelona red. It was darker, and richer looking IMO

The tideland pearl is a green/gray. It was only sold on the 2004 and 2005 models.

See my signature for the color.

Depending upon the available lighting, Tideland Pearl may look grey, dark green, or even have a bluish tinge. My 2004 is that color.

Some owners with that color were not happy because the brochure showed a lighter color.

John's Site has a great page showing all the colors broken down by year. Unfortunately I'm not smart enough to hotlink to hotlink to the exact page so I'll have to map you there:

John's Stuff - Toyota Prius and more
    > Prius Info
    > Colors H

BTW, every good Prius owner should have this site bookmarked for reference.

Wow, Thanks so much, I bookmarked that site, The first Prius that came out looks different than our current ones. I see they have changed the style since the inception. Very cool. Thanks, I don't remember seeing these cars around until just a few years ago. I really did not know they were even out in the market until around 2005.

I'm not sure where the data came from in those posts that show the pictures of the cars and "bar graphs" of colors showing what years the colors were offered, but the source that that data came from is at least partially inaccurate. That site also shows other makes/model cars including another Toyota I've owned for many years that is a very common factory blue, and it doesn't even show up as a factory color in any year. So, take it with a grain of salt. But I can say, that the site does follow my own observations in that there aren't many G1 colors (and most of them are light). I've never seen a G1 in red. Most of the G1's I see are white, light metallic blue, forest green, or most commonly--silver.
