One feature I'd really love to have, but can't get.

Because my spousal unit has mobility issues on her left side, we went with the Prius v 5 (or 4) which enables you to get a power driver's seat. This is HER car, so in theory once she sets seat and mirrors, everything should be cool. But this is our first new car since 1998 and I'm having a blast figuring it all out too, especially all that ATP stuff. What would REALLY be helpful (Toyota are you listening?) is a memory feature for the driver's seat and mirrors. She's short, I'm tall; she likes sitting high, I like low. I can't imagine it would cost all that much to add that feature. I'd buy it in a heartbeat, especially if it could be retrofitted.

Wow. I subsequently did a brief research project and a memory feature doesn't seem to be available even on a top-level Avalon. My 15-year-old Chrysler LHS has it, although never used, so I figured it had migrated to more "affordable" cars by now.

ya, with all the model lines/levels toyota has, they relegate certain things to certain divisions. to get you to spend more money i suppose.

Just a note; There is no hint that anyone at Toyota who has anything to do with designing cars has ever been to Priuschat. Very rarely the US Marketing arm visits, but they have as much to do with designing a Prius as you do.

Not true. Memory seat and mirrors come standard on the Avalon XLE Touring and Limited trims.

Toyota sure doesn't tout that point on their product offering website; at least as far as I saw.

At first, I wasn't happy that the topped out 2010 Prius didn't have power seats. Now I love my non powered seats. It's super fast to adjust. The power seats on my Sienna is slow as hell.

    Wife's 2011 Avalon has 3 memory buttons. I'm number 2.

A number of other Toyota models are also available with driver seat memory including Venza, RAV4, Highlander, 4Runner, Sienna and probably others. Our Sienna has it. I wish Toyota would make memory standard for all their vehicles that have power driver seats.
