The article states that Toyota will be introducing the Lexus Hybrid into SA. It also includes some sales figures for the Prius.

The Prius costs R279000 in SA or about $36000. No reverse camera or dimming rear-view mirror. Does have NAV, leather and fog lights. I paid R220000 for a used Prius with 30000 km on the ODO. We're suffering because of the high import duties. The article does state that Toyota will apply to the SA government to reduce duties on "green" vehicles.
