I am looking at having to order a Touring model w/ Package 6. None of the Dealers in the NE have them due to regional restrictions.

Does anyone have any experience in ordering a Touring Model with the #6 Package in the NE??

I feel as though all of the DEALERS are giving me the run around. They keep saying that it could take several Months to get if they can get it at all. They state that they are the only Dealership that can get them with all of there connections. All of the other dealers are lying if they can get them. I found deals any where from 28,800 to 27100. I know who I will end up going with but I really am not pleased with the Service that they have shown to date. Only one dealer seems to have any type of clue in regards to the PRIUS.

    Any info would be great.

    Thanks,
    EN

I looked on all 5 of the local dealers that I know of websites here in my area (NE Ohio), and I found a package 6, but it wasn't a touring. Not sure how you feel about travelling though. I here there is a dealer in the Wash DC area that can always has about 50 Prius in stock and can get any color any type in quick too. I think they are this dealership (Koons Toyota Washington DC)
Koons New and Used Car Dealerships - Located in Virginia and Maryland

First, one can't order a car from Toyota. All you can do is tell the dealer what you want and they will try to find it for you. Second, there is a regional middleman between Toyota & the dealers. Not all combinations are imported into each region. You may have to go to a state outside of your region to find what you want. Third, this is the end of the Prius' model year. Toyota stopped taking orders and is just shipping the remainder of the production run. Four, hybrid demand follows gas prices. With gas at record highs I wouldn't expect any Prius to sit on the lot more than a week. Dealers don't have much incentive to lower prices or cater to prospective customers as there is someone right behind you to buy whatever is there.
