Had my XM radio installed by Jon and was very satisfied with his work.

I just finished installing the XM radio in my '04 yesterday. With the help of the DVD that Jon provides with the kit, it took all of 2 1/2 hours with no problems encountered! XM sounds great in the Prius and looks great in the MFD. I would highly recommend Jon and his radio.

Jon installed my XM radio and I love it. The only sign that it is there is the discrete antena. The car looked like no one had touched it when he was through. I love listening to my XM radio.

Do you have to have the NAV system?

The XM unit does not require that you have NAV. The wiring harness plugs into an already-available connector for a secondary device located on the back of the radio head unit. This configuration allows for both versions of the factory stereo system with or without the in-dash CD changer. You would only have a problem if you had both the in-dash CD changer AND a second Toyota optional CD changer.

Thanks. I guess you would need it for the voice commands, though? $499 plus tax & s/h still seems like quite a lot of investment.

Shouldn't be any tax if you don't live in New Jersey and Jon does offer a PriusChat member discount - email him about it.
