overcoming lack of auto door locks

well, i know that lack of auto door locks and daytime driving lights in the us have been discussed to death ...BUT... i thought id tell you my little conditioned response training for those inconveniences. for the lights, i just leave them on and when i open the door they go off no big deal. for the door locks ive conditioned myself to automatically hit the door lock button with my left hand as im hitting the start button with my right. i know this is not a huge solution, but since ive conditioned myself to do this i no longer notice the non auto locking feature. it has one very small advantage as well, since i live in a rougher part of nashville, my doors are almost instantly locked before i even start moving thus making it more difficult to be carjacked or some other ghastly, beastly, rottenass thing.
