    meh.
Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus

I like Bob, and coming myself from a very humble education background I'm loathe to say this, but he dropped out of High School at 16 to pursue acting if I'm accurately informed.
This was an excellent move for him, and he's got some pretty impressive hardware on the fireplace mantle, and he's peerless in his trade.....BUT(!!) but he's not the guy I'm looking for to give me advice about healthcare.

I'm always curious why it is that people associate film stars with areas of expertise far removed from their training, education or experience and this has always amused me.

But HEY...."science and data" right? ;)

Tom Hanks made a pretty good movie about antisubmarine warfare**, but I'm not going to put him on a congressional advisory board for recommendations on future submarine warfare.

    Fun fact:
Speaking of DeNiro, Greyhound was based on a book titled..... "The Good Shepherd"......but Bob's other movie and C. S. Forester's novel aren't even CLOSE to being related other than by title.

There is a very large body of evidence that shows that they work. No need to pay attention to an actor's opinion when, in California alone the number of vaccinated people has exceeded 20 million and the number of infections AND daily deaths are falling like a rock. The number of adverse reactions have been minimal.

Our state started everyone 16 and older to be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine today. All my kids either have had the first shot already or now have appointments. Since I sit in front of a computer all day, I volunteered to get appointments for them. With four computers logging on to various registration sites, I did the double booking and canceling one that is further away and later date. Managed to secure J&J appointments at a local pharmacy for everyone. No long drive. And with the J&J vaccine, they will be fully vaccinated even before I get my second Moderna shot in a few weeks. Now, only if our grandkids under 16 can get vaccinated, every family member can gather without a mask.

your co. blkd the site the film or utube altogether ?

yeah Bob .. not exactly a health expert but neither is sleepy joe .. nor camel toes ...

in that docu .. isthe crew that goes around the country in an RV interviewing people who have been vaccine injured .. over 10000 were on film .. a few dozen select stories were put into the movie 1 and vaxxed 2 .

i mentioned robert D because everybody knows him and may want to watch it because of the association rather than 'here is rinky dink low budget crap to watch from skitzophrenic tin foil hat wearing high school student'

another site is : Vaccine Truth - 6 out of 10,000

are you saying the docs and scientists are not recommending the vaccines, only biden and harris?

what about the last president? btw, this is not the political covid thread, please take your tin foil hat over there.

If you social distance but those little office flies go from person to person is that a problem? If they were bigger we would say they were a problem. They are supposed to be harmless but what if carried covid in the moisture they spit out to eat?
Not those cute red fruit flies but the black drain flies that basically come into sinks from the sewer. Two nights ago one flew past my monitor.
I would imagine that away from the sink people are their main source of water and salt.

No I am very good at it all on my own.
I had a loose heat shield on my Prius and I was buying engine hoists and designing gantry cranes before I reached under the car and felt the loose shield just floating against the muffler.

We might one day have the chance to deal with some other overachieving pathogen that does ride on flies. Or skeeters, or whatever. Maybe by that time we'll have worked out some of our issues with agreeing on basic public health measures.

    Hey, I can dream.

Nope. Never heard of it. Sounds rather stupid to make a modern Rosetta stone based on ancient (and widely not understood) languages to spiritually lead people after an Armageddon. If only one in 10,000 people understand Greek or Latin today, imagine how few will be able to do so after a nuclear war?

Yes, Science is our savior. One of it's basic precepts is that discoveries are repeatable and testable. Science requires no level of "belief" to support it. When 20 million people get vaccinated with no serious side effects, that's pretty good science.
