Oz Green Vehicle Guide

    Hi folks,
    The Oz Government has recently upgraded the Prius to #1 in their Green ratings.
    Check this link for the database list Green Guide

    Select "Search...database" and Medium vehicle.

    Tried your links; nope. The guide is probably session specific so you can't directly link to it. Try copying your link into another browser (IE if you're using Firefox; Firefox if you're using IE) and see if it works. That's what I do to test for session-specifics.

    Hmm. I truncated the URL and then did a search for the Prius.

    Their info was for the 2003 even though I specified current model.

    They're a little out of date.

    Sorry about that link folks.
    However here is the Home Page.
    From there you can select "Search ... database" , selecting Medium size.
    The data is the latest rating, having just been updated according to local press.
    Governments are not noted for quick reactions to the obvious.

    Okay, I followed the link, did a search and...where are the Hondas? Are they not sold down under?

    I had to display the top 200 and the Honda Jazz showed up. What gives here? Are they not as green as Honda says they are?

    I knew they were not quite Prius level (at least outside of Calif, and the NE states), but...wow. Am I missing something here.

    ...and on the back of this months Sierra Mag, Honda has a big ad for how green they are...hmmmm...apparently not in Australia!??

    I checked with the database owners - they said Honda Insight is no longer sold in Oz, but the Honda Civic Hybrid is.
    I found the Civic in the database - it is somewhat lower because of lower pollution ratings but is near the top if you list in order of fuel consumption.
