P0A80 code + engine misfires?

The first appearance of the P0A80 code on my vehicle (2010 prius at 200k miles) was accompanied by multiple misfires and some rattling from the engine bay, which stopped after about 10/15 seconds. The misfire codes have since gone away on subsequent ignitions but the rattling has come up again once.

Basically wondering - can hybrid battery deterioration cause engine misfire, or is it likely a separate/unrelated issue?
