So I get this code, the fan does indeed continuously run. I have gone in and cleaned it out but am still throwing this code. Thing is, I can find nothing on possible causes or fixes. I could see this as something simple to do myself but charged an arm for with the dealer. Any insight in to this? I thought maybe a broken relay? The fan itself? 2004 Prius with 170k

Need miniVCI to see what the voltage and resistance of the 14module pairs are statically and dynamically. That code indicates a bad module(s).

Post #5 has info on mini VCI and tech info.toyota.com.

If original battery and the car has lived in the desert its entire life, you got a lot of miles for a desert car. Heat kills batteries.

Edit: P0A82 is the code I was referring to, not P0A83. Mini VCI is still an invaluable tool if you plan to work on your Prius.
