I purchased a CarMD computer for my 2005 Prius because my check engine light was coming on intermittently. It came up with a P0A93 code and a diagnosis to replace a Leak Detection Pump switch. I called my local Toyata dealer, and they weren't sure what part this was. Does this error code correlate with this part, or did I get ripped off buying this computer?

P0A93 is the code for Inverter Cooling System Performance. This means that the cooling for the inverter is not working properly. The most likely culprit would be the electric coolant pump for the inverter and transaxle. You should check to make sure the pump is working.

The list of possible trouble areas for this code:

    • Wire harness or connector
    • Inverter cooling system
    • Water pump with motor assembly
    • Cooling fan motor
    • No. 2 cooling fan motor
    • Inverter with converter assembly
