I just had the dealer check, my shoes in back still had 40 percent left and front had 50 percent left!

Regen is amazing... It's obviously recapturing most of the kinetic energy that would normally eat up the brakes!

That is awsome. Brake jobs can be expensive. This is a positive engineering accomplishment with real world savings.
    That's not the 2010 Prius?

Nope, that's my 2006!.. I figure I can make it to 300 miles at that rate!....
    Heck. Maybe 350k LOL.!

I haven't checked the wear on my other 2006, but it's doing great so far too with close to 200k on it.

That is amazing. Did you have any problems with the car outside of routine maintenance? Is the traction battery OK?

Have they ever pulled the pads off, and just cleaned/relube/reinstalled. I'd be inclined to do that, even if your wear is good.

Sorry to say no... Never any maintenance on brakes other than to glance at the front pads when changing /rotating tires

Nope, not at all on this car.

My other 06 had an mfd screen go out, but was covered under warranty, and a glitch with drivers window "also covered", and yes the traction battery went out on it at about 175k miles.
I attributed that to my son liking to take off like a bat out of hell, and that's hard on an old battery.
$400.00 junk yard battery plus another 400.00 labor for the dealer to put it in. Now up to 200k as of today and going strong!

    But no brake troubles!
