Just wondering if anyone is having an issue with the paint on the spoiler of their Prius? I have a 2005, 75K miles, black, and I noticed when I was waxing it yesterday a sort of "clouding" on the top of the spoiler, directly above the light that is mounted in the center (believe it is for illuminating the license plate). I felt the area & it was a bit rough, so I used some rubbing compound & smoothed it out. However, when I finished, I could see that there were a series of small cracks in the paint that only extended the width of the light. I am thinking that they were caused by the heat generated by the light bulb.

Anyone run into this & if so is there a fix (wet sanding, etc.) or do I either just live with it or repaint?

    Thanks.
