It got it to pair, but it is not straightforward.

Here's how I got the Nokia 9300 to pair with the Prius.

The first part is the normal pairing procedure.

    1. From the "desk" menu on the 9300, select Tools/Control panel/Connections/Bluetooth

    2. On "Settings" tab, be sure Bluetooth active is set to Yes, visibility Shown to all.

    3. On "Paired devices" tab, select "New", then "Search" or "Search again".

    4. When the Prius's device name is found, select "Pair".

    5. The phone will ask for the Passcode. Enter it.

    6. The phone will ask if the device is authorized for automatic reconnection. Choose "Yes"

At this point, the phone will think it is paired, but the Prius will not move past the screen telling you to enter the pass code into the phone. It won't move on, no matter how long you wait.

    7. Select "Close" on the phone to get back to the "Bluetooth" screen.

    8. In the "Paired devices" tab, highlight the Prius's device name, and choose "Edit".

    9. Make sure the "Device authorized" option is "Yes", and press the side button "Connect"

At this point, the Prius will complete the pairing and connect with the phone.

The Nokia 9300 will NOT transfer the entire phone book at once. Entries have to go individually.
