Hello, I have a 2010 Prius III and when I press the talk button for my bluetooth and say "dial by number" (or name) it comes back with "pardon?" verbally and on screen. Also incoming calls ring through my cell phone not the console. But once I accept the call on my cell then I can talk through the console. Also if I dial through my cell first once the call goes through I can then talk through the console. Dealer says it sounds like the speaker and to bring it in but I'd rather troubleshoot myself and try to fix, anyone have any ideas, or hear of this problem before? My cell is a Blackberry which I have been using for almost a year with the car with no major problems. Did have to disconnect battery in Blackberry to reset the bluetooth connection but this does not appear to be a connection problem as it is working, thanks.

Did you try to delete the phone from the car and re-add it again? I've done that a couple times to get mine working right in the past. I typically don't even keep the BT signal turned on on my phone now. I hate to say it, but it could be more of a Blackberry problem. When I got rid of mine, I was happy as could be. Best cellphone decision I've made. Is your BB running the most recent OS on it?

Also, you can reboot the BB without pulling the battery. It involves pressing (I hope I'm remembering their keyboard layout right): left shift key, ALT key (on right), and delete key (also on right) at the same time - sort of like CTRL+ALT+DEL for windows. If the ALT key is on the left, then the SHIFT key you'll want to press is on the right of the keyboard.

Try removing the phone setup from the car and BB then start all over again. Also make sure your BB is running the latest OS software for it. Hopefully that helps some.
