My 06 Prius parking brake is not working properly.
After engaging the brake, I put the gear box in D or R without pushing gas pedal. Car is still moving.
    How can I fix it?

How does the parking brake pedal feel when pushing it? How many klicks does it go down with normal force? If it’s more than 9, start by checking that rear brakes look normal and are in adjustment. Probably the problem is in the back brakes. If there’s nothing wrong in the back brakes and cables are not sticking then there’s adjustment under center console.

I adjusted the cable only, through the console inside the actual car. It did not do much. Apparently, you have to adjust at the rear brake drum to do it right.

One of these days, I will either attempt that myself or pay my mechanic to do it. Having said that, I don't park on slopes.
