Ok, I tried to start this question in another thread but I didn't get quite the answer I was looking for.

Is the Park gear in the prius less apt to slip out of gear than a normal car?

The reason I ask, i recieved a ticket for not turning my wheels into the curb and I don't feel $50 is a suitable fine. I am wondering if I could improve my case if I have data that shows my car would not slip out of gear.

Any data would be much welcomed!

    thanks,
    Drew

I think it's more of a just incase if your parking break failes. If i'm correct, all a parking gear is.. well.. a pin that locks into your "transmission".. but yeah.. the prius does raise a question there. either way, the prius could spin. We need to look into this more.
