Another post gives this link for Sirius Satellite Radio for the 2007 Prius:

    http://www.toyota.com/prius/accessories.html

My dealer, however, is saying that Sirius isn't available for the 2007 from Toyota. I've got to buy one somewhere else (e.g., Fry's) and they'll install it.

Does anyone know the part number of the Sirius radio listed in that link? What's the best way to get Sirius in a 2007?

    Thanks,
    J.

Assuming it has not changed from this year, the tuner is PTS31-00052
and the fit kit (wiring harness) is PTS31-00051.
    Hope this helps.

Or just go with Factory Interactive and the SIRIUSPrius. Do a search. It's what I put in my 07.

The official Prius Sirius unit does not exist yet, but you can install the one stated in this post from Factory Interactive. It will work but is limited to 10 characters and has a static fix.

The 10 characters are no issue with me and it comes with the static fix in place if you decide to go with the factory interactive. They give you everything you need to do the install yourself. I did mine in about an hour and thirty minutes. The DVD instructions are the bomb! :D

What did you do with the Antenna wire?

Following Factory Interactive's DVD, I put the Sirius antenna directly behind the OEM antenna. This minimizes dirt, dust, water and wind resistance. I ran the antenna wire down and to the left underneath the liftback weather stripping to the rear of the interior panel, where it attaches to the Sirius radio. Clean, simple and minimum distance.

Is this the same part number for 2004-05?

Apparently, there was a model number called PTS031-00050 that was the previous years tuner,
although I don't know if it's physically any different from the PTS031-00052...I think either model
will work with either year....although I cannot confirm that for sure.
    Cheers

I have a 2006. The dealer Westbury Toyota - Westbury, NY) Installed a single piece Pioneer unit. in the right front cowl. Every thing works well, except for the truncated display (10 characters). I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is the unit: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/p...8243808,00.html

(too lazy to pull out the glove compartment)

Best Buy also has units that are compatible with Prius, but I think they are 2 piece solutions. They may not truncate the display, however.

    Good luck!
