Like others threads show, apparently some people love to tail gate the prius because we're trying to save gas and do the speed limit or.... god forbid we're traveling under the speed limit

The first thing I think is best is to keep your cool

Worst comes to worst the other car rear ends you, you win the case and his premium sky rockets but no one wants to deal with insurance... it's extremely annoying. Therefore...

The best tactic I've used is the windshield Wiper tactic. You just use your windshield wiper fluid for a good 5 seconds. If they really are tailgating you at speeds in excess of 30mph then all that fluid will hit their car and their windshield. It is sweet justice when you see that they have to activate their own windshield wipers. At this point, usually the other drivers back off and keep their distance. It also helps to tap on your brakes lightly at the same time.

    Just my two cents
