Performance Plus Ride Harshness.

Well, folks, Back when I picked up my handles like a go-cart 2012 P+ Prius at the dealer there was nothing I didn't love about it. Now at age 81, the strapped-down ride I so loved is literally a pain in the ---, but I still love the car and do wish to keep it.
The question concerns swapping out P+ suspension parts for Non-P+ parts.
Which would show the highest relief from the bone-jarring ride, replacing the springs or replacing the shocks and will that totally hose the overall suspension geometry and handling?
