Does it really matter if it makes us safer or not? Mr. Bogeyman has conveniently made his presence known again and gosh darn it, we've got to kill some a-rabs!

true, there are easier ways to do it though than sending American troops over there to do it.

What do you think of mr bogeyman and his henchmen?

"we've got to kill some a-rabs!" That's a little simplistic, don't you think. The Bush family and many other US interests have MANY Arab friends.

"What do you think of mr bogeyman and his henchmen?"
They are not fightable in a conventional war or an occupation situation. They are only defeatable through worldwide cooperation, intelligence, and through a projection of the US as a beacon of hope, not the long arm of the world's law.

You've got to keep it simple if you want to get joeblow to follow you off to war with a nation that joeblow can't even point out on a map. It's always easier to kill people when they speak a different language and have a different skin tone. This way, we'll have a minimal chance of actually understanding these people as humans.

Why ARE we fighting with Iraq? "Because they hate our freedom." How's that for simplistic?

Of all the potential threats that I face in life, the danger from mr. bogeyman and his henchmen has little potential. But I know that you enjoy having to look over your shoulder everyday looking for bogey as you walk down park avenue to grab a falafel. BOOOO!
