    for 5 large.
it has 65,000 some odd miles on it.
The guy told me I could choose between his prius and his jetta tdi.
    Was this a good deal?
I'm a big vw fan, but couldn't justify getting the TDI instead of the prius in terms of cost per year to drive.

Oh yeah, so far, no warning lights, etc.

Sounds like a good deal for you. Very low miles. Should be a good car and efficient.H

If that mileage is accurate, the car has a clear title and its not beat up, that's a good price (at least for my area).

Head over to the Gen I forum and we'll discuss some early things you may want to look at:

    • transaxle oil change - we're finding 30k miles is about right and there are Type WS experiments going on.
    • traction battery factors - "heat is the enemy" and driving style can minimize the load
    • instrumentation - we've figured out how to use a ScanGauge with the Gen I to get useful metrics. The work continues.
    • tires - alignment and rolling resistance

Not much for a good working car.

Not that many miles for a Toyota.

I had an '01, and I'd say you got a very reasonable deal. :welcome:
