    Hello everyone,
    I posted a note here last night, and instead of adding pictures to that post, I thought it might help if I start a new post with a new "topic" heading. It seems like folks on here want to see the new '06, so I'm going to post a lot of pictures here (if I can figure it out)... hope this is okay. I'm not trying to "spam" this site or anything, I'm trying to give back a bit.

    Anyway, I have been trolling on this site for the past month, and now I am one of you--a Prius Cult Member!
    Okay, here's my long story, short:

    I live in Orange County, California.
    I drive (drove) a Mini Cooper.
    I got a new job in October with a 45 mile one-way commute.
    I decided to look into the Prius because of the carpool lane "feature."
    I went to a dealer in San Diego in mid-0ctober and put $500 down deposit for a package 8--I didn't care what color.
    He called me on Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) at 3pm and said they just received their first 2006, Seaside Blue, tan (the window sticker says "Quartz," not "Bisque") leather seats, package 8. He said if I wanted it, to come down asap as there were people there looking at it. I drove down to San Diego that night, traded in the Cooper and drove home in the 2006 Prius that Friday night--woo hoo!

    So, that's my story, now if I can figure this out, here come some pictures....

    Hi Y'all... glad the pictures worked! I have 20 more night shots, but it wouldn't let me load anymore into this thread.

    Should I start anyone one (I hate to hog up any space on here)?

    Anyone want any specific pictures?

    Bob, if it's not too much to ask, could provide close up pix of the head lamp housing and the rear lamp housing (closer than the one uploaded :lol: )?

    I'm curious to see the difference between the 05 and 06.

    Just from looking at the NAV pic, it looks like the 2006's have a much higher resolution screen.

    Can you post more pics from the NAV and Info screens?

    Also, what's the AUX in the center arm rest?

    Yes, the MFD (multi-fuction display) is much higher resolution. I believe Bob has hit his upload limit on pics, but here is another '06 car thread by 'kinged' that shows the enhanced resolution of the display, along with many other shots people may be interested in.

    The AUX is a 2nd 12V outlet. The switch next to it is new for '06.

    I thought the AUX in the center console was the auxilliary connection for MP3 players?
