I've been lurking for awhile but figured I'd sign up officially and put up some pictures with the new wheels so others can get an idea of what the Centerlines look like on our cars. :)

The tires are Kumho Ecsta ASX 215/45/17. The car looks lower in person and actually looked lower after installing the new wheel/tire combo. Illusion yes but the effect is the same :)

Cheap and light weight :) I didn't get a chance to weigh them officially but the rims were about 13lbs on a cheapo mechanical bathroom scale and the tires should be between 18-20lbs. The UPS shipping weight is 22lbs but ALL the tires at Discount Tire of this size were that weight so I think its a generic weight for shipping purposes. Just picking them up side by side the weight difference is negligible.

    Centerlinne Monsoon - RPM

    The rims were $682 shipped

    Tires $339 shipped

Mounted/balaned with new crhome lug nuts and wheel locks $137.50

    Total = $1158.50

Not the greatest deal in the world but I'm happy with it.

Very nice. Sharp looking. Do you want to add the chrome door edge guard to promote two doors look (think of Celica or RSX)? See the pic in my profile to see how it might look like.

    Thank you Dennis. :)

I've done a lot of truck stuff in the past as well as F-body and Vette stuff and my style is "less is more". IE I tend to take off badging and stickers as opposed to putting them on (side moulding and LS sticker on my 02' Chevy truck, the 5.0 badging on my 87' Mustang etc). Like if I had an '06 Prius the first thing I would do is remove the Hybrid fender badge :) You're car looks great and definately stands out from all the Prius's I see in my area.

Sonovabitch! I thought I was the only one with these wheels! I just haven't had hte time to post the pics lately. ANyway, I have these on my Prius as well. I have to say these rock! They look great, much better than the tC wheels I had. Also, with the Sprotive springs/shocks, it looks just right! Good taste, friend! 'll post my pics soon.

Do it, I'd love to see it with some lowering! I just wish I would have bought the General Exclaim tires as they are lighter. What ones did you get and what is there weight?

I like the Centerlines because of price and weight. Just hard to keep clean.

I had the Stingray IIIs on my '02 Chevy

The Exclaims weigh in at exactly18 pounds each. Really, really light. I can feel the difference with these lightweight tires. I got the 215/45 sized tires. They handle great as well.

Damn, those were the ones I should have got :( Ahh well, when these wear out I'll buy a set. The handling with this pakcage is awesome though. I took an onramp this morning fast neough the sub box in the back slid over and that thing is not light! I can only imagine how hard these cars would corner with the TRD package on 17s B)

What's the rated skid limit of the Exclaims? I've been able to pull up around 0.7+Gs (measured) so far with my tires on the stock suspension ...

OK! So now that they've been on for a while, has there been any (if so, what kind of) mileage impact?

At first there seemed to be a small impact of maybe 2-3mpg but they were aired to 38psi. The sidewall says 50psi max. So I am trying 46/44 right now and my MDF is saying 49-51mpg. On the stock setup I was seeing an average of 45mpg on the MDF BUT I aslo was driving much faster. I have been a lil more careful how I drive but still not pulsing and gliding or it would drive my passangers nuts. I drove to the lake yesterday at 71miles there 71miles back no higher than 65mph and I was at 49.8mpg for the total miles. Not too bad for a passanger, 17" wheels and a stereo system with 2 12s lol

So for now I would say I might be taking a hit but not by very much, maybe 1-2mpg all of which should be due to the heavier tires. If one were to by the General Exclaim UPH tires then MPG should stay the same in reality (not in theory).

I got the upgrade tires yesterday. They were able to put the tire sensors from the old tires on to.

I ended up with the 215/45 17 General Exclaim UHP tires & of course the Centerline Monsoon rims.
I bought the rims direct from Centerline & the tires local at Wheel Works.
We will see if the pix show up.
