Anyone know how many PIPs Toyota is anticipating selling in 2011? This is a factor in the federal tax credit. I think the tax credit begins the phase out after 200,000 cars.

I believe year one sales (not 2011, but first full year) are projected for 15,000 production.

16 to 17 thousand for this market. 50,000 for overall production. Remember, Prius is the top-selling vehicle in Japan (triple what we've seen here lately). Combined with the national effort to overcome the recent disasters there as well as replace so many vehicles, it makes sense that they continue to offer more locally.

We'll gobble up all they ship over. The big question is how many will be the advanced model?

2013 plans are what will really be interesting.
