Purolator Pure One PL20195 is a very oversized replacement, but works just fine.

I was wondering if the 15k mile version Purolator PBL20195 is compatible with a 2007 Prius? It appears to be similar to the PL20195, but instead of only being a 10k mile filter, its a 15k mile filter. I ask because the 15k version is currently $7.95, which is 5 cents cheaper than the 10k mile filter. Thank you.

Puralator's the party saying this is 15K filter, am I right? Seems like a sales gimmick.

My 2 cents: change the oil and filter at 6 months or 5K miles, whichever comes first, and you can't go wrong with the Toyota filter, probably the cheapest, but whatever: the price differences are trivial.

Just an aside, it is almost always a bad idea to post to a thread that has been dormant a year, let alone a decade. Only the OP out of the people you are asking your question to is active now.
