Slightly related to the Pluto story, earlier this week scientists confirmed dark matter.

    One of many articles:

    http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article.../608240421/1009

The universe is 4% hard stuff ( like earth and Sun ), 4% gas, 22% dark matter ( it does not interact with known matter, it has gravity but you can not see or touch it ) and 70% dark energy ( which they know nothing about ).

These science guys have a lot of work to do!

I'm just think it is neat that we don't know about 92% of the universe.

That we think we know as much as 8% grossly overestimates our grasp. I think the truer figure is closer to 0.000000000000000000000000000000000008% in terms what we can say we definitely know. The remaining 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999992% was known only to Elvis, and even then only when he was completely stoned, so no one was able to find out much from him, so you are absolutely correct that scientists have their work cut out for them.
