2007 Toyota Prius unknown mileage, probably pretty high though. The car does not start but attempts to and it does not move in forward or reverse but does in neutral. Codes were erased before it showed up here.

Originally I thought it was a blown ice but it leak down tested fine and with the spark plugs out rotated with very little friction as expected from a good ice. I even dropped the oil pan with zero metallic flake found.

I did remove the cover from the transmission oil pump and verified that while hand turning the crank bolt the oil pump shaft does rotate.

I don't really want to pull the motor if I don't have to, but currently I am of the opinion that it is some sort of dampener failure. Now I'm reaching out to the collective consciousness.

It says I'm unable to post a link to the video of it trying to start but I feel it would be helpful from a diagnostic standpoint to share.

There's a cover on the bottom of bell housing too . To. Look at bolts that hold it on.

While there might be some damper damage a step or so back in the chain of causation, the observation about the oil pump shaft is making me think the input shaft has broken off.
