I have a small external amp that I would like to hook up - I just got this 2007 Prius w/140k and I would like to connect it !!!!

Anybody have any ideas? Pics ect??? It's a 250w amp so it's not that big - I plan on grabbing the audio out of the speakers and running it to my amp as a hot signal- and words of caution or precious expierences ???

    Thanks

PS - what is the light green color of my car called ??

There are speakers in the back doors, but not any further back (Not in the stock Prius, do not know about the JBL version. My Volvo V70 has tweeters in the 'D-pillar' where I *could* tap into the speakersignal).

I went for fitting a complete headunit because I wanted a subwoofer output and I wanted an AUX-input. The cavity behind the flip-down compartment under the stock radio was obviously desingned for this purpose. I doubt my JVC KD-AVX33 would have fitted (it's in the Volvo, has an oversized facia), but any bone-stock carradio will fit.
With the specialised wiringharnass, the 68ohm resistor and a little bit of guts, anyone can hook this up.

There's plenty of room in the back as well, some mount it into the side pocket. The reason for putting it under the seat were total stealth without loosing ANY storage space AND it's close to the front speakers (they are run of off the amp). I ran a standard home-audio 4-channel RCA cable (used between amplifier and cassette deck) 5ft cable and could reach the amp. No dismantling of all doorsills, just a straight run under the carpet. And a short run af 18Ga four-wire speakercable back into the stock wiring behind the radio (flat cable I also had lying around).
