has anyone had the power window switch (its a switch and a joypad) fall
    inside the door?

do you think warranties/extended warranties will cover this?

i imagine they will need to take the door apart.

going to take it in, wanted to see if this has happened before and what
    your experience has been.

could not find previous threads on this problem

if you pull up on the arm rest part that includes the switches.. it pops out. if you look, it either popped out of it's casing, or the casing sides broke.

toyota should fix it. i can't say they'll do it well... they couldn't figure out how to fix my center arm rest ( used the wrong size screws)

yeah it sorta looked like the there was one screw inside the door handle part holding the
entire armrest in, and i assumed the whole arm rest pops out, but didnt feel like messing with it.

No point messing with it. That is what the warranty is for. Presuming nothing broke it should be a relatively quick trip.

no.. the screw hold the door... the switches are on a piece of trip that simply clips in and out by pulling or pushing strait up and down. at first, i pulled from the front. i put foam under them to keep them from rattling.
