I have been noticing that I have to hold the power button down for a second or two in order to power down the car. Is this normal? Does anyone else find you have to hold the power in for second to power down?

    Thanks! Marvinh

No. A quick push is all you need, as long as your foot is firmly on the brake.

Don't even need your foot on the brake. I shut mine down by pressing the button until the shutdown process starts, then I release it. The entire process takes a half-second to begin.

If Marvinh observes this it may be a symptom of a problem. Check the 12V battery for one.
