I've posted before but I lost my phone data and had to get a new ID. I have Prime advanced that I love but I don't understand how to precondition my car I guess. I know it has to be locked. I stand next to my car , it's fully charged and not plugged in and I press the A/C button on my fob and the car pings and the lights acknowledge that I pressed the button. The car's HVAC comes on and in 10 minutes I'm a happy man
I go to work at Costco and it's cold (Colorado). I don't use much of the electric battery because I want to have alot left to precondition my car before I leave after work. I finish my shift and get near my car and press the A/C button , the lights blink to show me it got the signal and then nothing happens .(the car is locked). I've tried this a bunch of times and I can't get it to work away from home. But at home , it works. I've had over 20 miles of charge left when I've tried the away from home charging . Any thoughts?

    Was it below 14°F/-10°C?

Close but I don't think so
I've done this to cool the car and it doesn't work in August

    I'm not sure.

I mean possibilities include the condenser frosted over (for your current situation). Not sure why it won't work in August (hybrid battery too hot?) I've used Remote A/C on my Gen 3 in August in 35°C+ temperatures.

Try leaving it unplugged at home and then using Remote A/C (to replicate the work scenario). When you're plugged in at home, the car will use wall power to heat/cool the battery to maintain a happy temperature for the HV battery. In addition, at home, it can use wall power when you're activating Remote A/C.

Ironically, my Prime hasn't charged the last two nights. It's been very cold 10° f. But I plug it in and the lights comes on but when I unplug in the morning it has no charge?

How are you determining that the SOC is zero?
