Prii on the Road?

Ayuh, we see it also, it's good to see so many, yet... With it is also gone the Prius wave. Frankly, I liked it better when Prius owners waved.

 

I have a 45 mile commute everyday, each way, mostly freeway. I usually count at least 25 Pri sightings, sometimes 2 or 3 at a time.

 

Less than a year ago I might see one, maybe two Prii on my 30 mile commute. Now I'd say that number has grown to five or six. My workplace parking lot had one gen. 1 and then my gen. 2. Now I see four gen, 2s.

They are definately catching on.

 

I used to see just a handful everyday, but lately their numbers have been growing like mad.

When I was visitng Palo Alto a few weeks back there were more of them driving around looking for parking than the total per-day-number from a few months ago.

 

I drove 500 miles on the Interstate this weekend and saw two Prius, one of which was coming out of my village.

Yes I too see more Prii everyday, but I am experiencing the opposite, I get more *waves* then ever before- more people seem to look out for other Prii on the road at least where I am.


I had a X-MEN marathon this weekend, finally saw 1,2, and today #3, and I find myself calling the Prius a "mutant" :lol: No she can't go through walls or shoot fire or ice, but she defiantely is *different* than other objects with 4 wheels!

I think there's a reason that Prius drivers don't wave- they're afraid that sticking their hand out the window will reduce their mileage.

 

Yes, I'm seeing a LOT of 2006 Prius', FINALLY! I think someone posted that May was the biggest selling month ever, right? It's catching on! B)

 

I drove thru 3 states today (Missouri, Iowa, & Nebraska)...did NOT see a single Prius!!! :angry:

I saw at least 1 Prius everyday for 5 straight days in a small Arizona town, the next day(yesterday) I ordered one!!!!!!

 

Not a day goes by that I don't see at least 5- but usually at least 10 or 20 in my 25 minute commute.

 

We've always seen a lot of them around here. Now the population seems to have quadrupled! They are EVERYWHERE!!!!

 

I live in Portland OR. I drive about 10-15 miles a day, mostly city, (eastside and downtown, for those of you who know PDX). I must see a minimum of 10-15 a day. Yes, I've had my car for 9 months and have 6700 miles on it. Every other weekend I drive to Longview WA (60 miles 1 way), and I don't see many at all once I leave the immediate Portland/Vancouver area. Not many waves, though! An occasional smile or nod from another salsa red, though.

 

I've seen as many as 6 Prii in the ten mile roundtrip into town in our rural community. May need to get a new car, this one is becoming too common.

 

I live in a town of only about 5,500 people, and there are a least a dozen of them in my town.

 

NOT in NJ!
I've been commuting from Trenton to Kearny this week mostly on the NJ turnpike and GS parkway and have only seen 1 every day except today I saw 2.
Tuesday the one I saw was at IKEA.
