Prime Sport mode - stays in EV mode?

    When the car is in EV mode, and I change to Sport mode, I would think the car would change instantly to HV so that the engine and EV power are both available. But the car stays in EV mode?

    Anyone know what's going on here? The manual described Sport mode as providing both engine and electric power instantly.
