    Hello all,
Thank you in advance for the any suggestions on the issues am having with Prius 2009 with 170k miles.
All the dashboard lights on, car will only go to Neutral when put in Drive, engine does not seem to come on.
Parking button works fine. AC is giving out hot air. I have tried the following to fix and tried to narrow down the actual issue, there were other problems earlier where car wont turn off and all dashboard lights turned off on odo meter(am assuming this is a capacitor issue in odo meter, but could it be related to the issue with car engine wont be starting ?)

    1. unplugging car 12 v battery and plugging it back in works and resets the lights, then can drive car for sometime but the dashboard lights come back up.
    2. Checked the Inverter coolant pump in engine on mode and it seems to be working.
    3. 12 v battery in diagnostic mode shows its 12.6 and above, Hybrid battery shows its 14.3
    4. checked the fuses everyone looks good in fuse box.

Please suggest, i want to keep this car for daily commuting.

    Attached the pic.
    Thanks in advance.

Step one would be to read the codes so you know exactly what you're dealing with.
It's very likely you have at least the P0AA6 code, which will prevent the car from going into READY again, after you turn the car off. It will reset after disconnecting the 12v and allow you to start the car and go to READY again. It's the ONLY code that does that.

agree with TMR-JWAP, it's better to invest in a quality scanner to read and clear codes when you have a Prius. Not just an OBD2 scanner, get one that can read the whole modules.

Thank you so much for the response. Will start looking for scanner. any good names/brands ?

I noticed when driving normally (after unplug/pluging 12 v battery).
These lights come up, but car drives, ac works, battery health shows normal.
Could this be brake issue ?
Attached the pic when driving car, once I turnoff the car, the other lights come up and the car wont drive anymore.

These are the exact symptoms for a P0AA6. It should have subcodes to help isolate the problem.

Although it can be caused by many possibilities, it is most often due the HV battery having electrolyte seepage that comes in contact with the battery's metal case.

Thank you all for the suggestions.
the scanner showed P0AA6, indicating the HV battery likely at fault.
Its at shop to be fixed.

Yep, mechanic indicated that is one possibility.
also asked him to check any weaker cells and replace just to be avoid another immediate repair.
