    Hello everyone,
I was recently in a passenger side impact collision at an intersection. The other guy is at fault. Insurance has made their determination that replacing the side panels & door will suffice.

I am wondering if anyone has any information about the integrity of the Prius computer components or battery being compromised after a similar type accident. Side airbags were deployed and the car itself was not functioning after impact at the scene of the accident.

Are body shops at toyta dealerships capable of assessing the integrity of these electronic systems??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!!

They should be pretty hearty. Once the battery connection is reset (in a significant collision it's disconnected for passenger and rescuer safety) if it'll start and run without any warning lights and there are no significant DTCs with the Toyota tester I think it would be safe to assume everything is OK.
