My name is Alex, and I think that we Prius owners need a dating/whatever program, to hook us up with other Prius owners. Let me know what you think. I am 22, Male, attractive, a Law Student, and I will show you my Salsa Red if you show me yours!!!!

Alex... do you really need a dating service then? :) I have found that attractive, intelligent, young people are in high demand on the dating scene...

I'm married, happily so, but I have to say that a Prius dating service would be quite amusing.

I like to think that this is more of a Joke type posting, with some potentional, hahaha, but it stems from my inability to look at people with gas burning cars as attractive, :)

    I was kidding too

We haven't installed the switch yet. Were going to do it today but don't think it'll end up happening.

I'll get pics of the seat covers up in a bit.

I would happily join such a service, but I really don't need it. For some reason, my Prius is a Chick Magnet. It really draws them in.

    Oh man,

    Here we go again:

Jayman's car works as a chick magnet and I'm still parking on street corners waiting for some woman to walk up to me!

And, in my neck of the woods, typing in 'Prius' on match.com yields no matches.....

    I gotta move.

Well, you can always try Plan B by parking on a street corner here too.

Just have to be careful it's not a Sting Operation.

I think a better question would be:
Would you date a Hummer owner?

Well, my SO of 10 years did just that...put down $500 for a silver AM, may be a 2005, may be a 2006, depends on the wait (about 2 months here). She couldn't be more excited...and I'm now going to have the 'old & busted' vehicle in the family, ha,ha, even though I was the "pioneer".

Seems an appropriate survey in my case!

If you dated a Hummer owner it would give you a chance to convert them. :D

    Alex:

I think I used "Daddy Warbucks" as a metaphor for *any* truly wealthy family. And I'm serious, her looks could derail a freight train for all I care.

I don't think the Bush family is all that wealthy compared to other families. For example, Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin is a wealthy international shipping tycoon, owner of CSL (Canada Steamship Lines).

Well, actually under the CSL Inc banner is CSL International, CSL Asia ... you get the idea:

    http://paulmartintime.ca/story/000025.html

    http://paulmartintime.ca

There is also the interesting tie of former Canadian PM Jean Chretien and Paul Martin to Power Corp:

    http://dominionpaper.ca/weblog/2004/02/ful...f_conacher.html

So Paul Martin makes Bush and Cheney look like Genteel Poor. Not that I'm against at least one date with one of Bush's daughters.

You clearly have not experienced being a single guy in the Silicon Valley. ;) Even worse, every fifth car on the road here is a Prius so you don't even stand out as a Prius driver!

I'm in a relationship myself (carried over from before I lived here, e.g. when I could meet women) , but the mere thought of being single here makes me shudder!

Well no, PilotChris. I haven't even experienced being a single GUY. :)

Being a single girl is a little easier from what I understand. Especially if what you do for a living is impressive stuff. It scares away all the um, not-so-intelligent ones at the very least.

I have had guys approach me even after the engagement ring went on my finger. Don't guys look for that anymore? Sheesh!

Been there, done that - lived up there for a year, and was hopelessly single pretty much the whole time. Too many anti-socialites up there. Finally turned ot online chat rooms to meet women, and it worked fairly well up there :) Didn't have a Prius at the time though.

Those companies that specialize in bringing singles together w/ activities seem to do really well up there :-(

More to the original topic, some women are only interested in high horsepower SUV's - for those types we'd lose out. Fortunately my wife also drives a Prius, so I'm set in the "I wouldn't date a non-Prius driver" mindset. I think if I were single, I'd at least want my S.O. to appreciate the value the Prius contributes to society.
