Hi all, I didn't see a place for Prius 1st gen forums so I figured I'd post here, please redirect if inappropriate.

I recently purchased a 2001 Prius 1st gen (only 65,000 miles) with navigation screen. I was wondering if anyone had experience with how to have an auxiliary input (1/8 inch) installed for the stereo system. Would this require a whole new stereo unit, and if so would this interfere with the navigation system screen? Any/all thoughts welcome.

    Thanks

There is a 1st Gen section inside the 2nd Gen section. Don't ask me why.

I don't know much about the 1st Gens, but I wouldn't worry about losing a 12 year old navigation system. From some pictures I just looked up, it looks like you might be able to replace the radio and still use the MFD screen (unless the stock radio is what drives the screen).
