So I was walking around Paris a few weeks ago and I walked into this Toyota
building. I thought it was dealership... It was more of just a showroom. It was
    Cool.

So I guess the Prius is new for 06 in Paris? I don't know. It seems that
    way.

I had this French guy talk to be for 10 mins about the Prius. He went on and
on about the features and how advanced this car is. He was so excited and I
think he must have done a ton of research on it. Anyways, I didn't say
anything.. He kept talking and talking.... finally I was like... Yeah.... I own
one. No Big deal. It's alright.

    I love the wheels

Check out the NAV system screen.... Can you say... Video Input Mod?

Lights? NEW Prius Tail light? Look closely. What ever it is I don't like it. It may
have something to do with the Rear Fog Lights in Europe?

Is the 1981 Delorean Making a Come Back? I hope so.
    [Broken External Image]:http://www.jaysonjust.com/junk/yaris2.jpg
Maybe it will be Toyota to invent Mr. Fusion and Hover Conversion Kits. Lets
see. its 2006. So Toyota only has 9 year to get these out. They better get
    moving.

As with the Delorean, there might be some safety issues if this car rolls
over. So, are looks more important than safety? I say so because I love Gallwing
    doors.

Then there was this thing. Awesome. Basically you get to drive this car in
the game while sitting in the car. The controls were hooked up to the wheel; gas,
and brake. Best part... .It was FREE!
    [Broken External Image]:http://www.jaysonjust.com/junk/werid1.jpg
These were just some other prototype cars they had on display.
    [Broken External Image]:http://www.jaysonjust.com/junk/werid4.jpg
Yeah that headlight looks cool. Too bad LEDs and Neon Tube isn't bright
    enough to be a headlight.
    [Broken External Image]:http://www.jaysonjust.com/junk/werid5cam.jpg
Camera Rear View Mirrors. Somehow I don't think these will be DOT
    approved.... HMMM. But cool nonetheless.

Cool pics! Thanks. Interesting to see how much English content the Paris display had. Where were the language police? And interesting that the Gull-wing is branded a Yaris. Toyota may introduce the Yaris here next year, but I'm pretty sure it won't be that model...

    Thanks again, TimeFor.

You guys will like the Yaris. I have a Yaris 3dr LE as a courtesy car right now in Copper Orange Mica. Yes, it's still a cheap, economy car but there's so many storage places in there, it can rival a minivan. Also, a Jeep Cherokee was stopped next to me in traffic and I was looking at the driver at eye level! Yes, you actually do sit that high up!

Is this the showroom situated on the Champs Elisses in Paris? My wife and I were there about a year and a half ago. If Toyota keeps putting in such effort there will be Hybrids in every home in the world soon. The display was AMAZING! I had no interest in the Prius before and now I'm about to buy one (in the next 2 wks.)

Toyota did a fantastic job with that place. We were blown away!

Toyota introduced the Yaris 3-door and 5-door models to Canada for 2006, replacing the Echo hatchback, which I don't believe was ever offered in the US.

I have heard it is head and shoulders above the Echo for performance, and comes with some pretty nice options for an entry car, short of Cruise Control.

No gull wing doors though. <_<

Would be interesting to see gullwings offered here, though I suspect it would sacrifice a lot in terms of body integrity in collisions, especially rollovers... and probably wouldn't pass safety tests, though I don't pretend to be an automotive engineer.

I saw a little model of the Prius and was told that it was ONLY available at the Paris Toyota dealer. I wonder if it's still available?

    Wonderful pictures, BTW

I bought one from Classic Toys @ http://www.classictoysnyc.com/product.php?...&cat=397&page=2 , a couple of weeks ago, but he seems to be out of stock.

The model may still be available at http://www.model-car.com/miniature_detail....PMA400%20166300 or you may also do a Google search for "Minichamps."

By the way, the Champs Elysee has the most spectacular car dealerships' showroom displays I have ever seen anywhere. That applies to all brands, not just Toyota.
